The Chicago Transit Authority selected our outdoor LCD displays for its Train Tracker project, to improve communication with waiting passengers. CTA was looking for a supplier able to produce and deliver cutting edge displays that combined high optical performance with efficient operation, and that were also future-proof.
CTA was so satisfied with the results that the development program was expanded to include modernization of its bus lines with us as the display supplier of choice.
One of the challenges faced was the limitation on display height imposed by the existing station infrastructure. CTA eventually selected a 38” ultra-wide outdoor display for their platform train tracker screens. These state-of-the-art displays are now deployed on 144 train platforms, thus providing passengers with up-to-the-minute status of scheduled stops, local news, time, weather and emergency notifications as well as additional information, all intended to enhance the passengerr’s experience.
