Context

We were selected to cooperate with A2A Smart City and Brescia Trasporti, part of the Group “Gruppo Brescia Mobilità”, to develop their innovative smart city project. They wanted to transform the city by making it smarter, connected, and more sustainable, improving it together with their citizens and employees through active engagement and the adoption of innovative technologies that allowed real-time and up-to-date information with low power consumption and low installation costs.

Solution

We supplied a 13” monochrome ePaper display, designed to be fully outdoor and solar-powered. This display is the first solution in the world that can be used at bus stops based on the LoRa wireless network, a Low Power Wide Area Network (LPWAN) communication system, which makes possible a highly performing network of multiple displays with low energy consumption and without the need of expensive SIM cards.

eTELA Outdoor

The outdoor LED monitor eTELA offers the experience of a printed text or color photograph thanks to a new display technology, with easy readability in full sunlight, low power consumption and reliability in all weather conditions.

eTELA devices benefit from a real time geolocation system and from up-to-date information, crucial features for displaying prices and offers on outdoor digital menu boards.
