Refittings performed in the existing structure
In the digital signage sector, TCO is an essential indicator for balancing cost-effectiveness and sustainability. Eco-design practices, such as retro-fitting, emerge as crucial strategies to optimize it. By upgrading technology instead of completely replacing it, it is possible to significantly reduce total costs. In 2016, we carried out a retrofit for Oslo Metro that not only updated the technology of existing units with brighter and more resistant solutions but also maintained the pre-existing mechanical structures.
The implementation was made possible thanks to our ability to design solutions that are “future-proof” as we managed to fit new displays into the pre-installed structure. This allowed us to update units installed in 2011 with 65″, 70″ and then 75″ displays, extending their operational life and reducing costs. The retrofit of previous displays and the ability of letting unaltered the original infrastructure is also a passage that significantly reduced environmental impact and additional expenses.
The D6 design makes it a highly adaptable display, perfectly suitable for demanding semi-outdoors environments like train stations and shopping mall parking areas, with enhanced digital content thanks to high contrast and image resolution.
Its modular design is a true symbol of our commitment to versatile, high quality signage solutions. This design allows easy integration with smart devices and programmatic DOOH systems.
