Global Display Solutions has been recognised by Deutsche Bahn as the 2026 winner in the General Requirements and Services category, acknowledging the contribution of more than 1,800 GDS display systems currently in operation at railway stations across the DB network.
Berlin, Germany – 23 September 2026 – Global Display Solutions (GDS) has received the DB Supplier Award 2026 in the General Requirements and Services category from Deutsche Bahn (DB).
The award was presented on 23 September during InnoTrans 2026 in Berlin, where Deutsche Bahn recognised its three best suppliers of the year across the categories of Rolling Stock and Rolling Stock Parts, General Requirements and Services, and Infrastructure.
GDS received the award from Michael Obrowski, Member of the Management Board for Finance at Deutsche Bahn. The award was accepted on behalf of GDS by Giovanni Cariolato, CEO & Founder, and Alexander Miskiw, Strategic Account Manager & Managing Director of GDS GmbH.
According to Deutsche Bahn, more than 1,800 robust and technically excellent GDS display systems are currently in operation at railway stations, significantly improving passenger information.
The recognition marks another important milestone in the long-standing partnership between GDS and Deutsche Bahn and reflects the role that reliable passenger information technology plays in supporting the everyday operation of one of Europe’s largest railway networks.
GDS and Deutsche Bahn have built their relationship over many years, developing and deploying passenger information solutions designed specifically for the demanding requirements of railway environments.
Today, more than 1,800 GDS display systems are in operational use at DB stations, providing passengers with clear and reliable information throughout their journeys.
During the award ceremony, Deutsche Bahn highlighted the quality, long service life and robustness of GDS products, together with the company’s extensive experience, in-house development expertise and high level of vertical integration.
These capabilities enable GDS to address critical requirements for railway passenger information systems, where continuous operation, readability, durability and long-term reliability are essential.
Speaking during the award ceremony, Alexander Miskiw highlighted the long-standing relationship between GDS and Deutsche Bahn and the importance of the people and teams behind the technology.
“This award honours a partnership with Deutsche Bahn that has grown over many years, through reliability, innovation and, above all, through the collaboration of people in intercultural and diverse teams,” said Alexander Miskiw, Strategic Account Manager & Managing Director of GDS GmbH. “We are proud that our technologies and our teams can contribute every day to reliable and barrier-free passenger information.”
For GDS, the award is both a recognition of what has been achieved together and a commitment to the future.
“We see this award as an obligation to continuously develop further, drive innovation forward and support Deutsche Bahn in the years to come,” said Miskiw.
Receiving the DB Supplier Award 2026 strengthens GDS’s commitment to developing reliable, innovative and accessible passenger information solutions and to continuing its long-standing partnership with Deutsche Bahn.
